The Assemblies of God teach only the doctrines contained in the Bible.

Convinced that the “kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” they do not prescribe any food abstention or diet but obey only the Gospel law: soberness in all things.

They forbid themselves from entering into any controversial discussion with any organization be it religious or not. Their aim is not to cause division but to obey God by preaching the Good News, by leading souls to Christ and by helping those who are sick and afflicted by forming living and brotherly “assemblies” in the midst of whom believers can edify themselves, and develop spiritually, thrive in the experience of salvation and work together for the Cause of Our Lord Jesus Christ while waiting for His Return.

In all Assemblies of God, one can meet not only people whose life has been transformed by the power of God but also sick and incurable people who have been miraculously healed as a result of their faith, prayers and obedience to the Word of God and people whose life had been wrecked for different reasons and who have found peace, courage and the joy of life.

The resources of the Assemblies of God - Mauritius are constituted mainly of voluntary offerings from its members who provide for the expenses. All meetings are public. No secret teaching is given. Everything can be verified and controlled.

To resume, the “Assemblies of God” are Christian Churches according to the New
Testament model, and they have no other aim than to spread the Teachings of Christ and His Apostles and to apply them in the life of all its members.

 

The Assemblies of God in the World

The “Assemblies of God” are a universal family. They are spread around the whole world and group millions of believers of various origins who partake in the same faith, the same grace and the same hope.

In all continents and in all parts of the Globe, it is possible to meet members of the Assemblies of God churches. By the powerful action of the Holy Spirit, many believers even whole communities, have experienced revival and participate in the abundant and victorious life of “Pentecost”.

In Scandinavian countries, namely Sweden, Finland, United States, South Africa and some countries of South America, the Pentecostal Churches have big and important congregations with varying and efficient activities: radio, editing and printing, training centres for preachers and missionaries, mission for children etc. There are also some countries where the churches are small, scattered and persecuted; some others on all continents, where their representation is of medium importance, but everywhere, we meet the same faith, the same experiences of Divine grace, restored marriages, sick people healed, the same blessed hope: the Return of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the same passion to spread the Good News and bring souls to Salvation.

Every National Movement has its own autonomy and is independent spiritually and financially. Nevertheless they collaborate and commune together. Many joint achievements in the spiritual as well as material fields have been accomplished, especially in third world countries.

Every three year delegates from the Assemblies of God world wide meet at a World Convention.

The Assemblies of God form a Universal gathering, a Christian people who have a message for this generation: to remind them that “Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8); and of His Words that are all too often forgotten: “If a man loves me, he will keep my word” (John 14:23) “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14)

The “Assemblies of God” exist to announce Jesus-Christ and to offer the only true remedy to the pains of modern man: A return to the living faith, A new birth, A conversion to the Living and True God, A life according the Word of God.
